Nalilito

I was supposed to start working July 18 with a certain call center pero it was postponed due to some paperworks. Ang tagal nainis ako. Then last Monday, I got a call from Gina and asked me to visit their office today and so I went around 10am. Got interviewed around 1030am by the HR manager. Pumasa naman ako dahil she endorsed me to the COO of the company. I waited for about 30 minutes for the COO to arrive. Then here comes the COO, he looks young, pogi sya ha (hihihi) at expat-Indian (pero inde siya mabaho). Someone escorted me inside his office. We got on the usual interview session for another 30 minutes. Nagulat na lang ako, he said, welcome aboard. Nye, tanggap na daw ako. Syempre, nagulat at natuwa naman ako. Especially when they told me about the compensation package. Ang bilis ng hiring nila and there, so basically, I will be starting on August 8 na and I will be one of the pioneering batch of this new call center. I'm sure there will be lots of promotion coming through soon. The COO also told me that.

Hay, job hunting is no easy tasks. Kakapagod sagutin yung mga questions nila like tell me something about yourself, why should we hire you, what are your three best qualities. Pero that's how it is. In the end, choose the best offer.

Final Interview

I was called in for the final interview today. This is the company I've been waiting for the longest time. I've been totally ignoring other calls from other companies because I know, this company will call me and they did!

My interview started at 530pm with a lady named, Nice. Hmmn... Nice name. I think this is going to be a good interview. She called me in and introduced herself. We talked for about 30 minutes. Na-practice ng husto ang English ko. Kelangan eh. I'm applying in a call center so kelangan, fluent in English. I have to impress her, ha ha ha! I actually worked with this company before but I got an irrestible offer so I left. Now, I'm coming back.

She asked me why I am coming back to the company? Well, first, the company's reputation is very recommendable. Second, the pay is above average. Third, the culture, you can appproach anybody without hesitation. Except siguro yung big boss. You can wear anything pa. Tsaka marraming ng perks before but now, lalo pa daw dumami. Ang saya.

Nice said that I might be strating work on July 18 tentative date. They are still finalising my papers. They should be calling me before that date. I feel good today. At last, inde na ako bum.

Horray! Punta kayo sa house, I will cook pancit palabok!!!

In the midst of Ukay-ukay

This is the day for ukay-ukay! I woke up my hubby at 530am and told him that we are going to my favorite place to shop. Ang walang kamatayang ukay ukay. Aba, sabi yata ng sales lady eh today me bago silang stocks. Kelangang makauna para magaganda pa yung mapili mo. So yun, alis ng bahay, naka-tsinelas lang ako, fit na pants, sando, cap at malaking bag. Ayan, ready na ko. Destination today Ukay in Cubao, susuyurin ko ang place.

First stop, dun sa tapsilog, kain muna para madaming energy walking around. First store, naku naka-tatlong blouse ako for P20 each. Sabi ng asawa ko, inde ka namimili kung ano daw yung una kong nakita, bili agad. Oh well, ok na yun ayoko na kasing bumalik pa rito maya-maya. Dami pa stores na pupuntahan.

Second store, aba nakabili ang asawa ko ng isang shorts at isang t-shirt. Bumili ako ng para sa anak ko, two shirts. Medyo mahal ang store na ito, naka P350 ako for just 4 items. Hmmnn... Pero in fairness, maganda yung items.

Third store, me nakita akong handwoven na floor rugs for only P20 each. Makabili nga ng limang piraso. Tawa ng tawa ang hubby ko, sabi pati ba naman yan? He, he, he. Ikot pa sa store, me nakita naman ang hubby ko ng Nike na jacket, binili niya agad for P120. Me nakita akong rack na ang nakalagay ay 3 for P100. Attack agad ako, check there, hila dito, hila dun. Kilatis kito, kilatis dun. I end up buying 6 blouses for me worth only P200 and 6 shirts for my son worth P200 din. Yung asawa ko, ganun din, 6 shirts for P200. Ayos!!!

Fourth store, ito yung me bagong dating. I expect mahal pa ng konti pero ok na rin kasi ikaw ang unang makakapamili. Me nakita akong jogging pants. I bought 3 for P120 each. Yung hubby ko naman isa lang for P120 rin. Syempre, me binili rin ako for my son, isang jogging pants din worth P85. Pagod na ko pero sige pa rin.

Fifth store, ikot ako ng ikot, walang maganda. Sabi ko sa asawa ko, labas na tayo.

Sixth store, ayun me nakita akong slacks na white worth P80,binili ko agad. Yung asawa ko gutom na naman. Sabi ko, just go and eat then balikan mo ako dito. Lumbas na siya ng store, eto na ko, pili ng pili pa rin. Me nakita akong shoes at ang ganda. Leather, Italian made, hmmm... sukat ko nga. Swak! Binili ko, P350 siya. Maganda din tong store na ito, ok ang mga items, nakabili din ako ng curtains, 2 sets worth P800. Maya lang, bumalik na yung hubby ko at me dalang water for me. Sabi ko, lipat tayo ng store.

Seventh store, grabe ngalay na ngalay na yung mga paa ko. Pagod na ko sobra. Sabi ng asawa ko dapat kumain daw ako uli. Anyway, sabi ko last store na ito. Ikot na naman ako. Yung hubby ko, surrender na. Umupo dun sa chair. Then there it was, the ultimate item for the day, a backpack,Jansport for only P200. Eto yung gusto kong pack, see through siya. Yellow ang kulay. Siyempre, binayaran ko agad. Baka maunahan pa ko.

I calculated everything na napamili namin, P3225. Ok na sa dami ng dala ng asawa ko, he he he. Mukha na siyang kargador. So there goes my ukay shopping for the month.

Mura ang ukay shopping and second hand man siya, signature naman ang clothes mo. He, he, he. Actually, inde naman ako after sa signature ng clothes eh. Ang sa akin lang, yung mura, maganda tingnan at siyempre ang kalidad. Sabi ng minsan ng boss kong Canadian, "Hey, Annalyn, I like your blouse. Where did you buy it?" My answer was, "I bought it in UK!"

Ha, ha, ha!!!

Wala lang

Ang tagal kong hindi nag-post. One of the reason is tamad ako. Also I don't know what to write. Tsaka feeling bum talaga ako. Walang masyadong ginawa sa buhay kundi manood ng DVD at alagaan anak ko, pets ko. Inde ko na nga inaalagaan ang asawa ko. Malaki na siya no, alam na niya ang gagawin niya sa buhay, he he he.

I've applying online lang lahat kasi tinatamad akong lumabas. Me mga nag reply naman pero I end up canceling the interviews. Kasi ayun, tamad ako. Sabi nga ng asawa ko, iba-blacklist na daw ako ng mga employers. Hay, I'm waiting for one company to call me for final interview pero ang tagal nilang mag-reply. Pero I like that company and I think I'll wait for them to contact me. I know they will. Ang lakas ng vibes ko eh.

Eto naman ang sa plan ko going to NZ next year to study. I'm still waiting for the money. Wala pa rin sa mga magagandang kamay ko. Hopefully, ok na this month.
